Lori Hamilton

Lori got her acting start in Lafayette, California (near Berkeley) when her parents cast her in the role of Eldest Sister to five siblings. (Now she realizes the experience was “kind of like being the night manager at Kinko’s.”) In Jr. High, she began her classical training in Shakespeare, Pinter, Ibsen, Chekov, Albee, Brecht and Beckett.  Such light fare!  Later, she went on to study Linguistics and Modern British Drama at UCLA; followed by music (opera) at the Juilliard School, The New England Conservatory of Music, and Mannes College of Music.  Having played parts at the Atlanta Opera and sung with the Boston Symphony, she realized that acting was her passion.  She went on to perform as a stand up comedian (winning Comedy Goddess at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta), and improv at Dad’s Garage Theatre, UCB, and The PIT.  After touring the country as part of the National New Play Festival with her one-woman show, she formed her own production company and has gone on to do more than 30 short films, as well as acting as producer on an award-winning indie feature.
